“My Grace is Sufficient”

Today’s readings are about how to live in the Grace of God even in the midst of trials and challenges. Jesus is not respected in his home town, but he continues reaching out to those who need him, offering hope and healing. He perseveres even when it feels like he can’t see the results.
Paul writes about his deepest, most private spiritual wrestling, learning that God’s grace is all he needs, and that “when I am weak, then I am strong.”
What is “grace?” And how do we lean into the grace of God when we are challenged or feel weak or ineffective? How does God re-shape our notions of weakness and strength today?
