We continue to explore who we are, and who God is calling us to be.
Micah 6:8 is a powerful verse from the Bible, one worth memorizing! “God has
shown you, O human, what is good . . . and what does God require of you,
but to do justice, to love mercy, and walk humbly with your God.”
The Beatitudes, Jesus own manifesto, which we hear today as well, tell us that
the “pure in heart” are blessed, because they shall see God. How do we purify
our hearts as people of faith in a world of fear, pain and faithlessness?
God’s requirements are simple it seems, but profound.
What if we practiced Micah 6:8 every day? What might it mean for us to begin each day open to
walking humbly with our God? What would that look like for you?
