Reverend Vickie Miller brings to SunCoast MCC a variety of pastoral and educational experiences. Her professional skills include being a leader, counselor, pastor, teacher and trainer. She has a passion for spiritual programming, education, and pastoral care systems development and is a down-to-earth, relatable pastor with high standards who connects readily with congregants.
Vickie has significant experience pastoring churches in transition, including serving previously as SunCoast MCC’s gap pastor in 2014. Prior to that, Vickie was the pastor of MCC of Ocala (2012-14) and the temporary pastor at Spirit of Life MCC in New Port Richey (2011) and also at Trinity MCC in Gainesville (2009). Vickie completed her MCC ordination process in 2006 at Church of the Trinity in Sarasota, FL whereupon she served in various pastoral capacities including as the Minister of Congregational Care and Minister of Congregational Life. Prior to ordination, Rev. Vickie was a lay minister in MCC in various capacities as a church Board Member, Deacon, and coordinator of church education programs. Previous work experience includes 34 years in higher education in the areas of student services and counseling. Vickie completed a Master of Divinity degree with distinction from the Florida Center of Theological Studies and also has a Master of Counselor Education degree from the University of South Florida and a bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Marketing from the University of St. Francis in Illinois.
She currently resides in Bradenton with her spouse, Carol, and two beloved dogs, Baylie and Teddie Sue. When not pastoring, she enjoys time with her family and outdoor activities such as nature walks, boating, biking, and tennis.
Rev. Miller currently serves as Co-Senior Pastor of SunCoast Cathedral MCC, in Venice, Florida.
